So, we had nine little girls (ages 4 through 7) over the other day to watch Hannah Montana the Movie in our new Disney Blu-ray home cinema set up. It was only supposed to be four friends, but it got a bit complicated with siblings pleading to come when they heard one of the Blu-ray extras was a step-by-step instructional guide on how to learn the Hoedown Throwdown. I was in a good mood, and you know, the more the merrier...
I'm not embarassed to say I love Hannah Montana. Not because I think she's particularly talented, but because there's something about music that is bonding and me and my daughters have a fabulous time pretending we're pop stars. The girls are young enough not to be embarrassed by their ex-cheerleader mother leading the pack with pop it, lock it, polka dot it, countrify then hip-hop it, put your hawk in the sky, move side to side, jump to the left, stick it, glide..............
You can try it yourself, here's a video with Miley (you didn't really think I'd video myself did you?)
