British Mummy Blogger photo shoot for Red Magazine

It's tough promoting British mummy blogging. I had to go into London today for a Red Magazine photo shoot for a feature they are doing about my British Mummy Blogger network.

Such hard work. There were six (!) people there to fawn over us -- they did our make-up, fluffed our hair, dressed us, made us coffee. It made being a middle-aged mummy ... a little more interesting.

It would have been lovely to have a photo of all 700+ members -- but in reality it came down to who could make it into London at short notice. Thanks Potty Mummy, Alpha Mummy, Violet Posy (who helps on the network) and Dulwich Divorcee for doing their bit for British blogging.

Please note how worried the art director looks during the shoot. We were gutted when we nervously joked about looking like a girl band ... and she said well maybe a lady band! Cheeky.

I'm the one in the middle with the big bottom necklace (they wouldn't let me keep it). The make-over also made me realise that a bit of make-up is a good thing ;-)

Look out for us the January issue of Red Magazine, out 1st December...

Its a great magazine to have an article in and a good excuse for me to buy it again. (I had to stop after spending way too much money in Red Direct). Can't wait to see the pic and read the article.
