I'm not under any illusions. I don't have the perfect bod. I like to think I'm not fat, but I am a bit *AHEM* thick in places. I'm 45. I had three children in quick secession. I like food. I can't be bothered with dieting.

So when I went on this Three Mobile Mums photo shoot at OK Magazine, and the stylist pulled out this, I said I had to have it. It's a John Lewis Hobbs Limited Edition corsage dress. 100% silk, empire line, long sleeve, mid-length. It hides all the fat bits, and emphasizes my small waist.

I didn't say I wanted it in a Veruca Salt Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sort of way, it was more of a how did you do that sort of way. When I showed the OK Photos to my friends, they looked in awe and said I looked thin. I think they were being complimentary.

Hubby was sweet and got me the dress for Christmas. Yay! He didn't even flinch at the price (he's Scottish).

What to wear to CyberMummy -- Take 2

The search for something to wear to CyberMymmy continues. Many of you were kind and encouraging last week with your comments (what else do you say to someone with a bum the size of Alaska?) A few of you though were straight with me and suggested I look for something else.

So I had a little browse on eBay's Fashion Outlet this (rainy) morning and this Occasions Bubble Satin Dress caught my eye. £29.99 (original price £85). Postage £2.95. It's available in size 14. The gathered waist suits me, and it's not too short. It may be a bit too dressy though as I'll probably be shifting boxes of pasta to bloggers (thanks Garofalo) and putting together stages last minute. But maybe I could change into it for the CyberMummy party?!

Many of you may know that I'm helping to organise CyberMummy 2010, the UK's first mum blogger conference. There will more than 100 of my online mum chums there, and we'll be talking shop, sipping wine and nibbling munchies. It's all the buzz on Twitter (#cybermummy) and the BIG question is ... what to wear?

I really hadn't given this much thought. My usual uniform is Gap Curvy jeans and a T-Shirt. Perhaps, however, given my role as one of the organisers (along with Jen and Sian) I should branch out a bit. Make a good impression and all that.
